We are a brand of Emotion Sports - Desporto Natureza e Turismo Ativo, lda declared at ANAC in accordance with EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) standards as an operator of air transport of passengers in hot air balloons. Our pilots and ground crew ensure a safe and quality operation.
Pilots
Our team of pilots is made up of individuals with different profiles and experiences that create quality and safety in operations. All receive specific training to conduct hot air balloon tours and are qualified according to EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) standards.
Hugo Domingos
He is responsible for managing the entire operation. He has over 800 flight hours in Portugal, Spain and Switzerland. He speaks fluent French, English and Spanish. Passionate about history and his country, he makes every flight a unique and unforgettable moment for passengers.
Carlos Sousa
A full-time professional pilot, he has over 1,900 flight hours in Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Kenya, Türkiye and Chile. He accepted the challenge of flying with Up Alentejo and joined our team in 2022. Concerned with quality and safety and with a characteristic sense of humor, he makes every moment a fun but always safe experience.

Quality and safety
The balloons and other equipment are designed with passenger transport in mind, with all the comfort and safety. The size of the baskets is adapted to the capacity of each balloon, and in most cases they are compartmentalized, which allows pilots to better manage passengers during the flight, providing a high sense of comfort and safety.
